One way or another, almost everything on this planet becomes food for someone.
I am thinking they may taste like lobster, or worse case scenario chicken. It always makes me wonder what things tasted like before people at chicken.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

Yes, dogs are a very cheap, easily sustainable, source of meat. Cats are the same way, and considered even more of a delicacy in some areas of the world.
Different strokes for different folks.

Seems strange but I knew a guy with a pet Cow once... It was like a HUGE dog... very friendly and loved to be pet.. It would jam its head under your hand or arm for attention....
We don't think of cows that way but it was every bit as affectionate as a dog or cat.
They taste good though!

When you go to the zoos in everywhere else in the world, they give you the Latin specie name, and then the common name.
When you go to a Zoo in Louisiana, they give you the name and then the recipe.
