Will one of these mantis(up to 4") break throught this tank??

Ive read they can break glass tanks, but can they break one of these?? Or since these only get to 4" can they break a glass tank?? I need to know wheather or not to spend the extra money to buy this eclipse 12 tank or to get a 10g glass

Most likely it can't. I am not sure what exact species they will send you. I think it's a G.Viridis. Most places selling mantis don't I.D. them very well. A 4" smasher though shouldn't be able to break the glass. I keep a N. wennerae in a 12 gallon JBJ nano with no probs.

Oh, I looked at the tank in your link. It is acrylic. So, no it couldn't crack that one at all. I again doubt it would crack a glass one either. I don't worry about my little guy in his water filled glass cage.

K its cheaper so ill probably go with the glass tank and hope to god that it doesnt break in the middle of the night or something

yea the 10g glass would be cheaper and i dont think at max 4in mantis could break it.

Keep in mind that the mantis is very likely misidentified, so you can't be certain of what you are getting. On a positive note, if you post pics when you get it, we can ID it for you and you can find out exactly how to care for it.

K ill post pics when I get it but itll be like a month cause I just ordered the filter and stuff and im buying the tank tom. Then ill wait for it to cycle til I get the mantis
