Is that a baby octopus? My graphics suck on this pc. If so why would someone put one with a mantis? Cool video tho.

ya but it looks like the mantis knew what he was doing by staying away from the business end of the blue ring.

The video is not for fun, some bioligist i belive was finding out if th mantis can with stand the pioson.

Notice the mantis hit the octopus, he punctures him until the poison is out.

Way way cool tho

The mantis wins.

A large mantis against a baby blue ring? With respect, this is the kind of science I can do without.

That's a full size blue ring. It's hard to believe that something that small can kill a person isn't it.

Some octopus researchers at Berkely were trying to figure out how some species of mantis are able to survive the toxins that blue rings contain.

Those long-haired hippy freaks at Berkeley!

Where are the controls for this experiment? Wouldn't it be better injecting the venom into the mantis than watching an animal stuggle for its life, and ultimately lose that struggle?

I just have a really hard time watching stuff like that.
