atempting a mantis tank

i have a 10 gal standard glass aquarium i was using as a breeder tank for some fresh water fish. thinking about converting it to a tank for a smaller breed of mantis, perhaps a lime green.

will this stand up to its smashing, or will there be a prob?

For a smaller species like a Neogonodactylus wennerae I think a 10 gallon would be fine. I have had my N. Wennerae in a JBJ Nano cube for over 2 years. I have never seen mine hit the side of the tank. As he is digging through sand on the bottom of the tank he sometimes hits the bottom glass. Most tanks have tempered bottoms though.

You never used copper in the tank did you?
