More info on the ps3? How old is it and does it really add as much heat as they say? I want to use one but don't want to risk the cost to cool the system. How big was your system? How much are you looking to get out of it and will you ship to biloxi, MS?

i's about three years old, and i only used it for a few minutes, it spend the rest of its life in storage. i was going to use it for my skimmer, but it was much too powerfull for the EV-180 (i used the panworld on it instead)

i had two other posseidon pumps (PS2 & PS4) on my 90 gallon tank for a dual CLS. they do add some heat to the tank. but a lot depends on how hot your tank runs without them. my 90 gallon tank would run at 78-80F without these pumps. mostly because we are in sunny california, and my wife doesn't like the AC too cold, so our AC is set at 78F i also had 8 x 54W of T5HO in a closed canopy above the tank. so i needed a chiller even without these pumps. i tried to keep my tank in between 77 and 79F

but i have seen people post that their pumps don't add any significant amount of heat to their tank. so... i can't make any predictions about how they would work for you.

so, if you have a tank that runs cool, and you're running your heaters a lot, this will make your heaters work less, if you have a tank that runs hot, it will probably add one to three extra degrees to the water, depending on the size (but that's just a guess)
