I had a power head loose it's suction cups and point straight down in the DSB while I was away. Besides the tank being a milk shake for three days I lost a bunch of coral due to this event. After the tank recovered I hit a bad algae spell (pic below)....so I then decided to breakdown and cook the rocks and now I am onto the next tank

sorry to hear that. I had one of my PH's go loose on my one day too but luckily i caught it before it was too late. I only had a mild sand storm in my tank and everything was fine.

Wow CJ, nice pix...can I get some photography lesssons from you? LOL!
Sorry about your loss...I feel your pain after losing my whole tank full of livestock to AEFWs and accidental ozone overdosing last year.

You have the right attitude though....just start over and make it even better than the last tank! Good luck on the new tank and please contact me if you need any help.
