We had our first meeting today and it went really well.
Denvig, Ciege, and I met and discussed a few things:
We talked about the logo and looked at more artwork for the design.
Ceige and I will be working on a logo design together and everyone else is
welcome to help us or to work on different designs individually or on teams.
We really would like more than one design to ensure we get the best possible logo and to promote, as always, the most member involvemnet that is possible. So if you have some nice pictures, logo designs, ideas, etc, please post them online on the "Logo" thread. If you want to submit pictures to ceige and me, just e-mail them to both of us. Once the logo is finished, we agreed that the next step is to print up flyers and distribute them at local fish stores to attract new members.
We discussed the operation of the forum and decided that ceige would act
as an additional moderator to help out me and Rob. He, along with Rob and I will be available online for questions about the club, to approve new memberships, to update the club's membership list, to approve member access to the private club forum, and lastly to deal with any problems online. We all agreed to limit moderation to a bare minimum, as long as people who visit the club forum are visiting with good intentions and are following the TRT posting rules and guidelines.
We had a few brews, played some pool, told some stories and had a great lunch, thanks to my wife, Barbara. She is a great host!
We did not discuss plans for the next meeting. However, I hope that we will have enough interest to have a second meeting and
frag swap in early or mid July.
