All I can say is WOW
I can't believe what a difference these Luminarcs make. I can tell by just looking at the tank that it is much brighter. It seems to me that more of the light is forced down into the tank than it is with small reflectors. Much less light is exiting out of the tank since the reflector aperture is so large. A good analogy is a directive antenna....the larger the aperture, the narrower the beam and hence the higher the received or transmitted power at the antenna's boresight. The other effect is that this reflector is a 3 d reflecting surface. In other words, it is symmetrical in shape about both horizontal axes and hence the light is reflected or "focused" in both the x and y directions.
I am really happy with these reflectors and reccomend them highly. I'll try to post pictures soon.
