Hope everyone has a great and safe memorial day weekend. Hope you all eat, drink, play, and enjoy family and friends and, of course, the DRY weather!
Also, thanks to all our American heros who have given the ultimate sacrifice so that all of us can enjoy our freedom. I used to play in a small marching band for the VFW in Peabody on Memorial Day. We were not very good, but we all played and marched in the Memorial Day parade and after, attended/performed at the Memorial Day Services at the local veterans' cemetary. Then we all went to the VFW for a great hot meal. Well, the band ended up "dis-banding" a few years ago and I don't have the opportunity to take part in the parade anymore. I really do miss it. But every Memorial Day I think of those past times and remember how honored I felt to have the privilege to take part in a really small way in honoring our bravest American heroes. May they all rest in peace.... and thanks to the men that still serve and sacrifice so much for our country.
