Emergency
After my lights went off my GBTA decided to start wandering in my tank. It ended up getting some of its tenticles stuck inside the rio 800 of my CPR Skimmer. I caught it before it got really sucked into it and turned the skimmer off and moved the GBTA. It looks like it could be hurt pretty badly on one side. Is it going to be ok or will this die. What should i do i dont want an anenome to die inside my tank cause I dont think that will be good for the rest of my livestock. Other than that now my skimmer wont turn back on. I need help fast.

Anemone
Keep an eye on the anemone fo a few hours. Usually they will go pretty fast if damaged badly. If you see it start to disintegrate flush it. If you really want to be conservative, then remove it now and flush it. If u have a large water volume then the anemone "posion" will be diluted. If not, then do a water change tomorrow if u decide to keep the anemone and it disintegrates tonight.
For the skimmer, dissasemble it and clean it. If the motor is burnt out not much you can do. However, it could have just overheated and in this case it will run again after it cools down.
Hope that helps....let me know if you have any other questions. Good Luck.

I would also try to do something like "fence off" the intake to your skimmer using eggcrate or other plastic webbing that can be found at Home Depot. This should prevent future mishaps. Ideally, any tank with an anemone should make use of overflow boxes and/or intake strainers on any drains or pump intakes. Anemones can and will move around and must be protected from pump intakes as mentioned above.

If the skimmer motor is burnt out you will need to replace it. Your tank should be fine for a few days....just do water changes....the best filtration!

I got it working. The rubber piece on the propeller rod was broken so i replaced it with one i had on a smaller rio. I hope my anenome is ok, I will be keeping an eye on it for awhile now. It seems to look ok for now except for the piece that got sucked in.

Good News!
Awesome! You may have gotten lucky. I would definitely isolate that pump intake though, so you don't get this same problem again.
Glad to hear that things are looking better!

how will i know if the anenome is dying. What am i looking for. I read that it would either just melt away or if its dead it will float. Is this right?

Anemone
Prolonged tentacle deflation.
Loss of "stickiness".
Will not accept food.
Loss of color.
Shrinkage.
Gaping open loose mouth.
Dettachment from rock.

ok will be watchin it then. I just fed it earlier today. I will try tomorrow again. It usually deflates the day after i feed though so. I guess that it sticking to its new spot where i placed it is a good sign then.
How do anenomes heal. Will it eventually heal and grow back the tenticles that were squished?

Healing
Not exactly sure how they heal but I know that they can tie off areas that are damaged by contracting tenticles. I have seen this in my Magnifica.
Yes, the tentacles will grow back. I would just keep the water parameters as close to perfect as you can and do extra water changes...but not big ones that would change things too quickly....successive small water changes would be better. Also, watch the anemone carefully for signs of deteriorating health to avoid anemone disingtegration in your tank. Due to the small water volume of your tank, it could cause problems.
If the anemone dies and disintegrates while you are gone or sleeping, then you should do a large water change and run carbon to remove any toxins. Chances are the anemone should be fine....just keep an eye on it.
I tore the foot on my Magnifica while changing my aquascape and it is already healed after 2 weeks.
