The Time Has Come

Finally...Marineduud is entrusting me with my very own tank. We are working on setting up a 120 gal. LPS tank...I will finally have my "zen garden"!! Woot Woot. Tank is here and am currently waiting on the stand to be finished and Marineduud has projected Wednesday for delivery. Setup will consist of the following:

Oceanic 120 tech tank
Custom maple stand and canopy finished in cherry stain
Custom 90 gal sump/refugium
Lighting: single 250 m/h with Coralvue ballast and Luminarc reflector
Six (6) 48" T5's with icecap 660 ballast
Tunze 7095 controller with four (4) 6055 powerheads
Return pump QuietOne 5000
Two (2) Kent Phosphate reactors; one for carbon, one for feric oxide
with 2 mag 65's
Euro 180 skimmer with dual sedra 5000 pumps with mesh mod
Dosing CV-140 octopus reactor

Alot of the tech stuff is pretty much greek to me...but it sounds REALLY cool.

I just can't wait to see my 'zen garden' become a reality. I have talked about having one for about two years now...and the time has finally come. Zoos, blastos, frogspawns...oh my...acans, ricordia, and more. I won't know what to do with all of that. I'm "acan" for this to be set up already.

Here's a few pics of just a few of the things that we have raring to go...

More pics to come once M'Duud gets stand here.

I'm hurrying as much as I can..The stain has to dry before I clear coat it..LOL And I only have about 2hrs. extra a day to do what needs to be doneLOL And I have others that are probably going to be mad at me for not getting other things done... LOL But it should be cool for an LPStank tankI hope she will get into the hard stuff...

Great, I like the fact that you have a plan. You do know that you can not listen to everything Robert has to say

Oh yeah, I am definitely on board for the building of this system. It sounds like you have a great plan already and I am looking forward to seeing everything come together for you. I am really going to be interested in the long term to see what you "plant" in your wonderful underwater garden.

I am sure you share in his addiction already, but I would definitely like to welcome you to your own.

I have never seen a 180 skimmer with dual sedra 5000's It seems like that thing would shoot out of the tank like a rocket into outer space with all that?? Do you have to weight it down? Carrie

There is no stoppin this mad scientist. My downstairs kitchen has been turned into his personal aquatic laboratory. LOL (really...I'm not kidding)

I am excited about this project and can't wait to show Duud just how much I am capable of handling.

Good Morning all,

Last night, the stand and canopy were delivered, via Duud. Absolutely beautiful. They are done in solid maple with a cherry stain and I will say, now I really cant wait to get this project rolling.

Am posting a few pics of the stand and canopy. I will apologize now for seperate photos, as I am not "She-ra" enough to get this heavy tank up on the stand with Duud. How would he put it..."The old grey mare just aint what she used to be." LOL

I just cant risk dropping this beautiful starfire glass tank and watching my dream tank shatter all over the floor. Not to mention M'Duud would probably never forgive me. LOL

Here is a pic of the stand...for some reason, after several, several unsuccessful attempts...it is not letting me upload the canopy pic. The canopy, of course, matches the stand and is trimmed out the same.
