Hannam11 125 gal. set up

This is my tank I'll be setting up over the next few months. Once I make about 200 pounds of LR. I'll keep every one posted on the progress.

Keep us updated Sean, Nice size tank to start off with.
After making up the 200 lbs of rock, remember it's not really alive yet.
You'll need to seed it with some real live rock.
Good luck and keep posting progress.

Thanks, I'll still have to buy about 100 lbs of LR but that is alot cheaper then buying 300 lbs. I still need live sand aswell. All in good time. I'll keep every one posted on the progress.

I have the exact same tank with a canopy. I will be setting it up shortly as well. I just picked it up about 3 weeks ago. Where did you get that nice looking sump? I'm think about building my own for this one. How many gallons does it hold and what light system are you going to go with?

Right now I have PC 2 x 96 watt 36". One 10,000K – Crisp white daylight and one Actinic 03 (420nm) – Vibrant Actinic blue. But I'm going to put 2 400 watt MH as well . This sump/refugium was made from a guy on e-bay it came out nice. It is 36x15x15. I have PC lights for that too 2 x 15" same bulbs as tank just less wattage. I'm getting ready to start pluming the tank. I think I'm going to drill out a hole in the bottom for the overflow witch I'm making with acrylic. Not sure how thats going to work out but I guss well see. Any ideas would be great.

what brand of halide ballast do you have in mind? Are you going single ended or double ended?

I don't know much about the double ended MH. Are they just as good? I was going ask you guys what kind would be suggested. I had some MH along time ago but the ballast were from some weird light but they worked. I don't have allot of money so if any one knows about good deals or used ones for cheep. I could use them.

OK so Friday is pay day. I'm going to plumb my tank this week end. I'm going to build an over flow box out of acrylic. This week I'm going to decide on the size of over flow I need. I will be drilling two 1" holes in the back of my tank for that. All so I'm drilling a 1" hole for a closed loop pump. Hopefully I can drill all this with out destroying the tank. The plumbing will be done with 3/4 and 1" PVC pipe. If any one wonts to help out that would great I could use it . Just let me know so i know how much beer to buy. I'll take lots of pictures so if any thing goes wrong it will be well documented. I'm planning to make some live rock too. So buy the time it cures hopefully my tank should be up and running by then but we'll see.

All right i finely had time to get to the pluming this weekend. I all so made some live rock. Thanks to last club meeting I got the formula to make the rock.
I needed three new holes drilled in the back of my tank for the new overflow box I made and closed loop pump. I was going to drill them my self but I found a glass company to do it for 65.00$. They did a great job. the company was Lee & Cate's on San Jose. I put blue vinyl on the back instead of painting much nicer.

I broke this one. So I put it in the back.
