From here I set the ph probe. The Pinpoint controller allows you to run the reactor through the setting of the PH probe. The reactor has a built in holder in the top to hold the probe. The controller also came with the fluids to set the probe to proper settings and of course directions on how to set the controller (easy to follow, even I got it the first time around)...so I put the probe in the top of the reactor (in one of the filled reactor pics you can see a blue thing-that's the probe), filled the reactor via a maxijet 1200 pump that is set in the sump, connected the solenoid to the CO2 tank....

Done! All I had to do now was figure out the drip rate. I use the little cup that comes with two part calc and alk bottles to measure out the flow. (It's the same little graduated cup that comes with cough syrup, lol). I sat there with my watch and let it drip in the cup, tweaking as the minutes past until I got 30 ml/min...easy enough! Then I tweaked the precision valve to get 20 bubbles per minute of C02 from the tank to the reactor, that took a little more time, but its just standing there with a watch tweaking also.....so far so good. I had put the PH controller with a high of 6.60 and a low of 6.20, making the center 6.40... so now I wait, following directions and getting help from the folks here at TRT, what a great place to be!
