Ok seeing that i dont have pics of my 15gallon that i had for a year i will only post about my 72gallon reef tank.

Ok it all started in Dec. 2004 when my LFS had a sale on their 72gallon BowFront tanks that included everything needed to setup a saltwater tank. This was a month before i joined TRT when i bought all the stuff for my tank. Well i ended up spending WAY to much.

I bought..............

72gallon AGA RR w/stand
ProClear Pro75 Wet/Dry w/Skimmer
Little Giant 2 series return pump
Rainbow Lifegaurd UV
80lbs of CC
140lbs of Base Rock
10lbs of LR

Like i said this was before i joined TRT and found out that much CC in a tank was going to cause problems and the Wet/Dry was CRAP!! and so was the built in skimmer that came with it.

My tank stayed the same from March-October. Then in October i had to move the tank from one side of the room to the other side. When i moved it that is when i got my damsels out and i should have got the eel out while i had the chance. When i set the tank back up i changed the aquascaping on it and i was really please with the looks!!

Shortly after the moving of the tank i made myself a DIY skimmer to replace that cheap built in sump skimmer that came on my Wet/Dry.

As you can see in these pics i still had the BioBalls in my Wet/Dry and they were slowly removed after i built the skimmer.

After building the skimmer i decided to get rid of my eel and yellow tang. The yellow tang was being to aggressive towards other fish in the tank and anything new i would try to add and the eel ate my wrasse for dinner one night. So of course i had to take all the rock out to get these fish out! Well i couldnt get the rock back the way it was before and i wasnt very happy with the aquascape! After putting it the rock in i bought two clowns a tomato clown and a maroon clown. So those where the only fish in my tank for a few weeks.

My tank was doing good for a month then i had a Cyano and HA outbreak that took over my tank in late Dec. early Jan.

I was about to sell everything and just be done with the hobby but with the help of a fellow friend Casey we got my tank back into shape in 3 months!!!

One month (April 1st) after the corals being in my tank i decided to reaquascape my rocks to the way i like them! I was getting tired of that look that i hated. I had about 80lbs of base rock curing in my garage so that i can replace the BIG pieces of LR that was in my tank with smaller pieces that was curing. Here are some of the progress pics of the tank redo.

These ones are when i was draining the tank.

Here is a pic of all the rock i used you can tell which is the new base rock and which is the old LR. Also a pic of the bottles of SW i had to try and keep all the coraline algae alive.

Here are some pics of putting the rock back in and then filling the tank back up and after it was running for a couple of hours. I used Acrylic rods to hold the rock together.
