Once the water cleared up from the tank redo of the rocks i added the fish and coral back into the tank.

A week after i got the Feather Duster i got some more fish and corals from a fellow friend up in Tampa.

Here is a Full TanK Shot..................I have not placed the new stuff i got where i would like them yet. I wanted them to be in my tank for 2 weeks before moving things around

I forgot to add i also have a Coral Banded Shrimp. I got him somwhere between getting rid of the Hair Algae and getting my first corals from Casey

Just tested the water.......

Ammonia- 0
Nitrite- 0
Nitrate- 2 almost back to 0 from adding all the new fish and corals
pH- 8.2
Ca- 450
dKH- 9.6
Phosphates- 0
Salinity- 1.025
Temp- 80


I test my water weekly so i guess i will start posting the results here weekly. I normaly test on either Thursday or Friday but since i added 4 fish and corals at once to my tank i wanted to test daily for two weeks to make sure i wasnt going to get a mini cycle.

Ok i forgot to mention the lights i have. I have 4x110 watt VHO's

2- 10,000K
2- Actinics

I will post some pics later. They were a PFO retro fit kit. Custom DIY relfector.

Here are a few pics of the install of the new lights. The reflector was made from some sheet metal i got at Home Depot for $7

I did my water change on Saturday and tested the water today (Sunday)

Am- 0
Nitrite- 0
Nitrate- 2
pH- 8.4
Ca-425
dKH- 9.9
Phosphates- 0
Salinity- 1.025
Temp- 80

It is almost back to perfect now i am looking for some more corals to get.

I cleaned my protein skimmer for the first time in 6 months!! Let me tell you the difference it is making already! I cleaned it with RO/DI water and Vinegar.

I also made a DIY kalk drip for $7. It holds 2 gallons of water at a time. I will be adding it to the DIY part on my website.
