I replaced the wavemaster with a reeftkeeper. I like the control of the fans much better than just on/off with a timer.

Ok , so the quality is not very good. I'll work on it another time.
things are looking good in the tank. The SPS are realy starting to grow and the RBTA is getting a bit to big. I may have to sell it and trade down to anew one. The hair algae battle continues, but I have started a refugium again. We'll see what that does.

400 Watts !!!!!!!!!

I purchased a used 400 watt setup (thanks Derek) and have installed it. It has a XM 20,000 bulb. Compared to the 250 double-ended I believe that the light is better. It is more spread out. I hope this means that the corals will grow more evenly, instead of all facing the center of the DE. I thought temperature might be an issue, but so far the 400 does not heat up any more than the 250 did.
