ionracing's blog

well i am starting my blog at either a bad time for my reef tank or a good one. It has been up for about 1 1/2 months and my dumba** put a figi(i usually use culture figi already cured) in my tank because it was so filled with orange coraline that i couldnt resist. and i have massive bacteria bloom in the tank. and to top that off my skimmer is new and the injection type skimmers have a week break in period. So my tank became extremely cloudy. Not dangerous though. I did not have any ( ok i lie minor ammonea change) water parameter change. So its not to big of a deal but annoying. It has been getting better i am hoping after this friday's water change i should be close to normal again.

well the water is now cleared up beautifully and i also added another 16lbs of live rock. Cured this time so i dont have an issue again. The tank looks better then ever. The aqua c remora protein skimmer finally broke in also. I have the collection cup all the way down so i am currently skimming very wet. I have about 1" of green nasty water in the cup. i lost one of my nassarrous snails. Well kinda he was acting weird not moving, shell turned brown, just no motion. I toke him out, i saw him move into the shell more after i took him out, but i wasnt going to chance it. So to wrap this up the tank is looking good, all filters running 100%, all fish doing well, and all in all happy
