My story is like that of many others. I started with a FW tank and after keeping every thing from neons, to Discus to 9 inch oscars, I decided with the move to Calgary to go SW in my 120.
I started off with the canister filters hooked up and all the FW equip I had. OOOPPS. After about 2 months I found TRTa dn finally got it straightened out. After a couple of months I got a line on a 150 with overflows and have been working on the system in the 150 for about 10 months now. Here is the progression.

Getting started with the 120 and the new rock. The 120 was set up for 2 weeks prior to the rock arriving.

Been awhile since I have been in here!
The tank has been just running away, I have only been adding one coral every two weeks or so for the last several months.

Also in the last couple of months I have added a settling tank to my sump, as well as a refuge.
I think the settling tank was the best addition I have made to the systym since set up. It allows me to do H2O changes in less then 5min for 20gal.
I enjoy the fuge almost as much as the tank LOL, I cannot believe all the life that grow in there.

The last thing I have done as of late is make a new mixing station that holds a total of 244L of water. This allows me to go 3 weeks without making water.
