WTB: Sump/Fuge

I am in need of an Acrylic Sump/Refugium for one of my tanks. I have no acrylic skills or tool so I wish to buy one from someone that can build them or has one sitting around.

It needs to fit under a standard 48X18 R&J stand. It needs to have the standard compartments (Skimmer/Fuge/Pump). I also would like the largest size that I can fit in the stand. Drilled or not is fine. I can use it either way.

I have a decent one but we cleaned it and had it sitting out drying and a huge wind gust tossed it....Broke one end panel. Maybe someone can repair it with a new end panel for a small fee??

Anyway, Thanks for looking.

I think it would be way cheaper for you to just get it repaired.

Why not just do 2 tubs and connect them with a bulk head. Water comes in the fuge and drains into skimmer and return. What do ya think?

That would probably work just as well Ben. I think it's just more wanting to be uniform with all my tanks. Having them all the same way in case something goes wrong I can rob parts from another.

Cool just trying to help you do it on the cheap. I have broke way to many acrylic sumps to ever go back to them.

Yea, And I do appreciate the good suggestion. I may still end up doing that. It's not like I'm getting a lot of responses about a used one or repairing mine.

Something more along the lines of this http://www.melevsreef.com/sump.html but not as fancy and with 3 compartments instead of the 2 shown here..

How bad is the damage? If it's just the end panel, did it break at the joint/seam? If so all you need is some Weldon glue. My piece of crap "Sealife Systems" fuge separated at the end panel. Both vertical joints had started to come apart from the top down & flooded my stand. Jeremy & I used Weldon, two scrape pieces of acrylic, a tie-down ratchet strap & a bar clamp. It's holding just fine, I took the clamp of before it rusted, but did leave the strap on just in case.

Hey John,
When it hit the ground after the wind picked it up it broke out a chunk on the one end. It is right in the center of the end panel and not on any seams.

I'll see if I can get a picture of it and post it.

Here we go....I found a couple we had already taken.

What is the size of your sump? I have a All glass #4 sump that I thought I could use but it is to small for me. But John is right your sump can be fixed. Can i fit an ASM G4x in your sump? Can you use the All Glass #4?

I'll have to measure it Pat. I was putting a G1 in it but will have to check if a G4 will fit. I'll measure it today and get back with you. I'll also take a look at the All-Glass #4.
