Went to the Keys

So we went snorkeling in Looe Key this weekend for our anniversary and since you all couldn't come along, here's some pictures.

These picutres don't do the reef any justice. This was one of the most amazing things we've ever seen. If you have the opportunity it is really awe inspiring to see these animals in the wild and the people at the Looe Key resort do a really good job of taking care of you and making sure everyone has a good time.

That looks like a fantastic time and really cool getting pictures of that shark as well. I am going to have to get dive certified and head down there some day.

you dont have to know how to swim just a life vest and snorkel you can stand up if you want to but you would hurt the coral which is a big no no.

How does the snorkeling and being in a floating position affect your back? I have wanted to go try it but not sure how well my back will handle it.

well it can't be one of the cheap orange ones because it makes you kind of float straight up my kid had the type that you would wear on a wave runner and he floated body flat on his stomach all day no problem and loved it.

That might actually be the ticket for you Randy as the vest would provide support along with the desnity of the water column. It definitely can't hurt anymore than let's say falling off a bucket.

I have one of the life vests for a wave runner type jet ski. I bought them for my boat because I despise the orange type vests. Guess it couldn't hurt to get a snorkel and see how well it does with me floating in the water.
