Tunze Nano Streams
I just read about the new pumps that should be out next month. The price seems right, at $97 for a 1200 gal per hour Tunze with a magnet holder included. The best part about it is they should be controllable with timers on a period of 15 minutes or more. Should work just fine on an Aquacontroller.

The only down-side I can see to this is the fact that they will be mass-produced. While it will bring down the cost, will they be able to retain the same Tunze quality in the process?

IMO yes or they wouldn't put it out . Trust me they don't need any pump tarnishing their good name .

to me, the thing that sucks about them is that you can't turn them on and off with a controller unless you have them set on 15 minute intervals. That really sucks in my opinion. You can with the 6055 but they don't come out till around xmas and they are $200+.

lets say they are all the flow you have in your tank and you have 2 of them, 1 on each side of your tank. You hook them up to a wavemaker and you can only have 1 running every 15 minutes. Too me that sucks...

I still don't see why having a pump run for 15 minutes is a problem. I think of more concern in your application would be the distance the stream can create.
For my 90 gallon tank, I think this will work great. At this point, I have (1) 1500 gallon per hour Seio running in the tank constantly, and my corals are looking great. As long as the pump will create a 4-foot stream, this will work out great for me.

steve is the 1500 fully open? I have turned my down. I also thought that the controller powers the pumps up and down as a pair not one at a time.

The problem with that would be that you would only have 1200gph flow every 15 minutes if you ran 2 of them...
