Topic : Fish Focus
Keeping up with reef related topics.... Lets talk about new fish additions. I plan on adding a trigger to my tank soon. The candidates are a Blue Jaw and a Pink Tail trigger. I am only adding one and I think I am going to go with a blue jaw since I can not find a good looking Pink tail ( I have seen nice pink tails in private tanks but never at the LFS. The male Blue Jaw is a very beautiful fish and at a good price for 59.00 4" specimen.
To keep the topic going, if you plan on adding a new fish please discuss in this thread or if you are not adding a fish make some *nice comments

I added a Royal Gramma to my 29 today. At first, I thought something was wrong with him because he immediately went under a rock and laid on his side for most of the day. However, during feeding tonight he was as active as the other occupants and even was snuggling up with the clown. I watched them for a while to ensure there wasn't any aggression, but both seem to be getting along fine. Other occupants include a Green Chromis, Bi-Color Blenny, sandsifting star and inverts.
All seem to be doing really well in my first SW tank.

I just added a Green Cromis to my 210. I went to feed my tank this evening, opened the canopy, turned to pick up the cup I had the food in, turned back toward the tank & a G/C jumped out just inches from my face. Said to myself, "Self, Look at that dumb fish committing suicide right at supper time". I bent down, picked him up & tossed him back in. lol
Steve, A Sargassum or The Blue Jaw gets my vote. You should try to get a small pair. Had a pair of 3" B/Js in the 210 a while back.

I'm waiting on the replacement for the Black Tang I had that either came in with a damaged swim bladder or was captured with cyanide. I can't wait!

I just added a pair of snowflake clowns to my set up...awesome little fish look even better in person. I am thinking about adding a rhomboid & another lineatus, my last lineatus committed suicide out the back of the tank. I just love wrasses. My last 2 fish I will add to the 1 tank will be a pair of juvenile joculator I have on order (if they can get them in small enough).
PelagicMagic Riptidesreef has an awesome looking Pinktail, he seemed to have a cool personality when ever we went by the tank he would pop out of the surface at us.
salt-rookie good luck w/the new black tang I want one for my tank, but I want a small one.

Two weeks ago I added a Scott's fairy wrasse about 4 inches and doing very well to date. Today I picked up a redheaded fairy wrasse and a hour later he's disappeared and haven't seen him since. He can't get out of the tank because I had to wrasse proof the top of the tank. I learned from the scotts when he tried to do a maneuver by jumping into the overflow box and going through the u-tube. Lucky I was right there to save him.
I hope the new wrasse has just did a good hiding act and will reappear again.

Your tanks are awesome Racerw! I could have stood there for hours watching the wrasses swimming through the SPS. I don't think Skittles liked me standing there though. LOL
I love the rhomboids too, but my tank isn't very "wrasse proof".

Still haven't seen the new redheaded wrasse. Did notice a very large bulge in the trunk area of my LTA and this morning it's back to normal. I do believe I've noticed the LTA is smiling. Could it be that the anemone has has a nice expensive treat?
