Tiny tank, suggestions?

I'm thinking of setting up a 2.5 g or 5g tank.

Does anyone have any suggestions on lighting and filtration?
I only plan on keeping some zoas, maybe some sexy shrimp.

I was thinking of making a hang on the back acrylic box to fill with live rock rubble and some cheato....

also, does anyone have a small tank laying around?

" Tell Cody to get off his butt and come get it"

But then how would he keep his flabby physique?

Right now Im trying to figure out flow and lighting for a 5.5g. I hate powerheads IN a tank, but I guess with a tank this small I don't have
much choice.

I also want a light I can install under one of my kitchen cupboards. Tank is going to sit under it on the counter.

How about a HOB power filter and no powerheads? I would choose PC lighting either 18W minimight CL or 36W Sunpaq. I have 2 - 2.5 gals with each kind of lighting I wil try to post pics at some point.

No flow at all would be ok? well, I guess the power filter would provide some water movement.

I think Im only going to have zoas and either a jewel damsel or a pair of teeny baby clowns from bio reef, they are sooooo cute!
(I decided on the 5.5g)

Trust me with a hang on back on a small tank there is plenty of flow. Plus power heads are a threat to small shrimps.

True, didn't think of that.

I actually think I may just try to get Steve's seahorse tank, if he ever gets back to me
( I have the same amount of patience as my 2yr old.)

I need to do some reading on sea horses' though. I know they like colder tanks, which im unsure of, because I do want some zoas and shrimp....
thoughts?

I can't do both tanks, I have to pick one or the other.

Shrimp and seahorses toghether probably a bad idea. Well not so bad for the horses anyway. I have kept horses in the past and they are great. The thing I did not like is their need to be fed everyday sometimes twice a day that was a pain.

Don't forget the fact that those baby clowns are going to grow alot bigger. We got some babies at BioReef last year. The 4 Clarkii babies got put in my 75g. Three of them are now 1 - 1 1/2 inches long and the other is about 3 inches long. They grow fast!!!
