With the right T-5 fixture you can keep anything you want.

Got t5s overdriven in my 90g. I love them because they are significantly cooler but only issue I have with them is that I've noticed some of the corals lose just a bit of their bright colors... Keeping mostly SPS's with some softies.

Is your setup a retro or a fixture?

Overdriven T5's are just powered by IceCap ballast. I overdrive them just to get more PAR out of the bulb since I only have 4 t5's over my 90g. I could put 6 bulbs but I probably would have overdriven them too so I could have greater SPS growth. Only draw back is that the bulb life is shortened a bit but its worth it for me...

Dont get me wrong though even with 4 t5's overdriven I've bleached some SPS's...
