Sump Size
Is there a basic rule of thumb for the best size sump in comparison to the size of the display tank? I have read about the "bigger is better" thoughts on it but wondered if there is actually a rule of thumb when trying to decide what size sump would work best on a reef tank. I have a 90 gallon tank that I have to rebuild the stand/canopy for it (mostly because I don't like it) and if there is a "best size" sump for it then I can build the stand to accept the sump. The "As big as possible" doesn't make sense to me as a 150 gallon sump on a 90 gallon tank just doesn't make sense to me and seems counter-intuitive.
Also, has anybody here had any dealings with any companies on the west side of Jacksonville (Westside, Orange Park, Middleburg) area for getting sheet acrylic?
Any help and thoughts are appreciated.
