I was wondering if these to types of tangs can be kept sucessfully together in a 100gal reef...I have heard that seom of the tangs don't get along well together so I wanted to see if anyone has had success keeping these two together?

I have a sail fin and a scopus together in a 95 with no problem - They will both outgrow my tank though - if added together you would probably be OK until they start getting large

I don't think I would put a sailfin in 100 gallon tank. They get very large.

If I get back to Jacksonville in the future, I'm going to have to plan an extra week or 2 just to go see all these awesome new set ups!!!

I had a yellow and a purple together for a while, until I had an ick outbreak. Happened either because of temperature fluctuation, or because of the stress they caused with establishing their dominance. It may work, but if you choose to do that, buy them at the same time, and different sizes. Sailfin bigger, yellow smaller.

Yes I have both in my 125 FOWLR, the sailfin was in the tank first and yellow 1 week later.
They have been together for around six months and usually team up to harass my lunare wrasse!
I would make sure the sailfin is the larger of the two when you buy them, since the yellows tend to be more aggressive.

I have both in my 265. The yellow I've had about 2 years and the sailfin was about 1.5" smaller than the yellow when I added him in. There was some aggression at first that lasted about 2 days then they were eatting at the nori clip together by day 3 and have been fine ever since.
