OT: For those that don't think life is cruel....
As most of you know I was almost killed last november in a work related accident! Then, On August 31st this year I was told I have cancer in advanced stages. I start Chemo on Halloween. Now, Tonight.....I find my second best friend (My wife is my best friend) dead in my bedroom.
"Elvis" May you R.I.P. and I hope to see you again on the other side.
If anyone has a Siamese or Persian that needs a good home please let me know. I am major bummed at the moment.
Keri

I am so sorry I know you loved that cat, you gave him a good long life of love. I rescued a himilayan/siamese mix from under the church where I teach. Poor girl is skin and bones but will be beautiful. She has blue eyes. She has 3 kittens that are old enough to be weened but they were still nursing probably cause they didnt have anything to eat. She is only maybe 8-9 months herself she is real friendly but the kitties are real skittish. I will check with my friend who has them. Kittens are calico, black and white, and tan and white, they will be tame in no time.

Keri,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have four cats, but my 9 year old named "Cookie" is my baby. It makes me cringe when I think of the day that she passes.
The animal shelter and humain society always have a ton of cats here. It is strange how many people abandon their cats because they "shed too much".

That is terrible. I know sometimes losing a pet can hurt almost as much as losing a human member of your family. At least it sounds like it did not suffer much. That is all any of us can ask for out of death.

Thanks everyone for the condolences. We adopted Elvis several years ago and he was a wonderful pet. Here he was keeping an eye on Reefneck's newly set up tank.

His passing was just from old age as he was about 16 or 17 years old. The past week or so, he just wouldn't eat, only drink and he lost weight rapidly. He didn't seem to be in any pain and passed peacefully.

We lost our 17 year old sheltie a few weeks ago the same way, she had a good life too...she went to sleep and was just...gone.
You have my empathy. Take care.

Sorry to hear that. I know exactly how ya'll feel. A few months back I lost both my Rotties the same day. Came home from the store, went out back to feed them, found them both dead. Hope all these kind words are some comfort to you & your family.

Sorry to hear about your kitty. My mom just lost our childhood cats of 22 and 23 last year. I was like 7 years old when they were born.
