Nice, Large Pistol Shrimp for trade
I have a large Pistol Shrimp that I would like to trade for a frag of something. LPS or SPS. I have 2 Pistols and this is the one I was able to trap. He is in my fuge having a ball at the moment.
Any takers, PM me to make arrangements.

Not really sure Ben. Was sold to me as a Tiger but it is mostly translucent with a hint of green in some areas.

Please don't tell me you are getting rid of him because you think he is attacking your clowns. I have a pair of true percs with my pair of tiger pistols no problems. In that same tank I have a pair of dottybacks and yellow watchmans. The pistol never messes with anyone. I think their ability to stun fish is drastically overrated. However mine are digging machines and prevent me from having any corals on my sandbed.

No, It's just the digging antics of 2 of them was a little much. Not having much luck getting a pic and now he is in a part of my fuge that's going to make it a pain to get him out but I will when/if the time comes.

Yea the digging sux, but the symbiosis between them and a watchman is worth it IMO. Reefneck do you have a watchman in your tank? They will pair with any watchman species.

Yea, I have a Yellow Watchman Goby I have had for quite a while. He never paired with either shrimp. He paired instead with my brittle star. His name is "Stupid"! Can you guess why?

I wonder if the shrimp you bought was misidentified because it is usually a sure thing that they will find the goby. They both give off chemical cues to locate each other. He may not be a tiger pistol as this would explain his solitary behavior. Some pistols live alone.

You may be right. I know the one still in the tank is a Japanese Pistol and he paired with my LTA. No matter where I move the LTA he finds it and lives at it's foot. Annoys the hell out of the LTA and the LTA won't stay put.
