Question

Keyhole limpets and sps?

Do limpets eat sps? Has anyone here had any experience with them?

In my search of pests, diseases, etc. this last week I came up with a site or forum or page that I originally found on RC. It did say they were dangerous to SPS and coraline. I have searched for it tonight to post here but came back with a bunch of BS. I wasn't really looking for that info, I just happened upon it and remembered reading it but cannot remember where I read it. It was just a few days ago.

I've got probably about half a dozen in both my tanks, and I've never seen any evidence of them eating sps. It probably varies by species.

I had some of those also and was told they were safe. I see after reading that link that they were not. I mostly saw them in the refugium all over rocks and stuff.

Most limpets are safe, keyhole limpets may eat SPS.
