My yellow LN butterfly has these pinkish/red patches on him. I don't know what they are! there aren't a whole lot of them and they just started appearing about 2 days ago. He is eatting very well and otherwise seems fine.
I tried to get pics but he won't be still long enough for the pic to come out and show the spots. I did an online search and this link has something similar
( http://www.fishpalace.org/Disease.html#Bodyfungus ) called hemorrhagic septicemia. My fishs' patches aren't as pronounced as those in their pics and seems to have no other symptoms.
I haven't tested for ammonia but just did a 20% water change 2 1/2 weeks ago. I've had the fish about a month.
Any ideas?

If I am not mistaken, ususally red patches mean bleeding on the inside. No other symptoms? Have you added a new fish recently?

I added him and a copperband at the same time about 1 month ago...they came from the same tank at the LFS and the CB seems fine w/ no symptoms ...nothing else has been added.
No other symptoms...no fast/hard breathing, no lethargy, no sporatic movements, no scratching against things....nothing.
I did catch him sticking his nose into my BT anemone a few days ago...could he have gotten stung and this is a reaction????

The bta could have stung him. I got nailed by one yesterday due to a small cut on my finger.

You may want to try a combo of Pimafix/Melafix, which are an antifungal and antibacterial treatments. Both are reef safe, and one of the few "herbal" remedies that seem to work. Most LFS should stock them.
