How long should I wait to try to reverse paypal.....

I purchased items on 3/5/07 and after 3 seperate PM's and emails to the seller, I still haven't recieved the items.

At first he stated he wouldn't be able to send the items until all the livestock was sold. However, the next day he sent me a PM stating all livestock is sold and he would be sending the items on the following Monday. This PM is from 3/9

Hey just letting you know Ill be sending you your stuff on monday, can you shoot me your full name and address again?
Thanks
Matt

I waited all week and nothing arrived so I sent another PM on 3/16 asking for an update. Here was the response on 3/19

Man, Im so sorry, Ive been trying to get to the friggin post office for a week but my work schedule is such that I cant leave for lunch and I get off at 5:30. I was planning on sending it on saturday but I went out of town on friday night and forgot it. Your goods are packaged up sitting in a box in my room ready to go. Im going to try to get my girlfriend to run by there and send it. I know you need your stuff. Rest assured though, its coming!

Still nothing arrived and the next weekend I sent another PM and finally got a response via PM stating he had went to Arizona for the week and he promised to send it out priority this past Monday and should expect it on Weds. Now it's Friday evening and nothing yet......

So should I continue to just try to contact him to see yet again why he hasn't sent the items out or just contact paypal and reverse the transaction.......

Just curious. I've purchased tons of items over the years via paypal/online and this is the first time I've ever had a problem with waiting.

WOW! I am on ebay daily as a seller and a buyer. I would definatly report an "item not received" action against this seller. and I would do it now. Ebay will notify the seller and then there are steps that will need to follow.

The seller sounds like and idiot anyway. What type of livestock did you order?

I would tell him that he has until Monday 7pm ( or whatever time you want to pick) to provide you with a valid tracking number for UPS or FedEx...and if he does not provide this as proof that he has shipped...that you'll be opening a dispute for refund through ebay.

I should have stated on my first post. Opps!

This is not an Ebay purchase and it's not livestock. It's Drygoods and equipment purchases from here on TRT.

I've done tons of transactions over the years on Ebay so it would be simple to just reverse it there.....

Ohh, well I would still "maybe" give one last try email to the seller with a 24 hr response... or just just go ahead with the next step with paypal. The good thing is that paypal will require a tracking number for both paypal and you to confirm an item is being shipped... if this can't be provided you will get your monies returned to you via paypal.
