Holiday meetings
I've talked to a few and read a few posts depressed about no meetings for Nov. & Dec.
I was wondering do we have enough interest to maybe have one squeezed in somewhere before Jan.?
I know Dec. is really CRAZY  but Nov isn't too bad. Maybe we can consider it??

Does this have anything to do with my introduction thread? I'm not trying to make waves here.
With that said, I'd go to a mtg in Nov.

No not at all, at last meeting some people showed interest in trying to get a meeting in before January. The meetings fall on the 3rd Saturday of each month which means it is very close to Thanksgiving & Christmas. Many have family/friends in town or people go out of town, so many would not be able to make it.

Maybe if someone wanted to volunteer for a impromptu informal meeting, get together at their house, knowing that there might only be a hand full of people showing up. I guess the place would be the biggest issue because there are always people who want to go to a meeting but are unable for a number of reasons.

Since we missed the last one, we we love to go to one before January. Unfortunately, our house is small and under remodeling so we couldn't have it here. One day maybe, but at this point I don't think remodeling ever gets done  (or paid for) |

We could have it at my house but boy I hate to have the first meeting after Teach's meeting - my tank is no comparison by far.
Maybe we could even do like a cookie swap or something kind of early Dec.
I don't mind having it if everyone else agrees

We did the same thing last year. It turned out to be one of the best meetings all year. You don't have to stick with the 3rd week just get a feel for when the most people would like to have it. The first week in December might be good. Right in between the holidays.

I agree and NOT doing it on the third week may allow some to come that otherwise couldn't.
Lets try to get a head count of who's interested then try to set a date

Aaack! Any time OTHER than the 3rd weekend of November is great... If it's late enough in the evening (starting 6-7pm ish and not lasting past 9ish) I might be able to swing the 3rd weekend.

I wouldn't mind going to another meeting this year. The girl friend really want to go this time after I told her about the last one. Oh wait, that could be a bad thing!
If it happens let me now, it takes an act of god to get saturday off.

11-25 after church hours
12-1 early p.m.
12- 15/16 either day
