Green....No...Brown Star Polyps

I have a quick question, it took my GSP's a long time to come out, about 2 weeks and now that they are fully out they are more brown than green. I'm assuming that they turned that color because of a lack of light. Now that they are hanging out again, will they eventually turn green? I can kinda see the green now, but it is faint, a lot of the other corals came in nicely colored and then went dull only to revive after some time. Now everything in the tank is good looking. Any words of wisdom or ideas?

My GSP's look completely different depending on what light they are under. If I put them under my power compacts...they are dull .. greenish/brown.

Under my VHO's they are bright flourescent green.

Under a friends MH's....they are dull too...

Just give it time. When I first got my GSP, it was kinda brown for the first couple of weeks, but now it's a bright green. Maybe it has to get used to your tank's conditions first. How did they look in their original tank? How much light do you have and what spectrum? Actinics will make them very bright green. HTH

gsp are some of the slowest corals to acclimate. Give it time and the green should come back.
