Darn. I was supposed to be the first one to announce that Man! Shush now, Nik is not going to want to hear that!!!!!!! He said Ohio State would beat us in both Football and Basketball....Kidding aside. what year for tha Gators. I don't beleive there has ever been a shool with the both a National Basketball champ. and national Football championship in the Same year. It's Great to be a Florida Gator!!!!!!\

thats the worst I have seen my team play in the 20 some years I have been watching them... I just hope our team makes the bball tourny and we get a chance for some sort of redemption.

I hear ya! I am hoping our team in BB goes to the top as well. Your team in bb is doing good as well. Troy Smith was just shut down in that game. It was strange.

I hate Ohio State...

But florida was very lucky they were off for what, 39 days? They had a ridiculous lay over, and that killed everything. To go from not playing, to playing a team with nothing but speed, that'll do it. Ohio State played the worst they possibly could, and Florida played the best they possibly could. 9 times out of 10 Ohio state would win. Even George Mason made the final 4 last year. But I g uess thats why they play the game.....

jflip.. I have to say I cannot agree at all that ohio state would beat us 9 out of 10 times. I could careless about the layoff, its the national championship game. They could have t ginn in the game and still get beat if they both are at the top of there games. Congrats on the Eagles ....I guess

i say they would beat you 6 out of 10 times but thats just an opinion. Honestly boise should be the national champion since they are undefeated.

Yikes!!! Did we lose some of our intelligence when the sun went down? OSU is a great institution with a fabulous football team. Mr. Ginn makes a difference, but the "team" speed of UF was too much (listen to some National syndicated "late night / early morning" sports talk and the players for OSU confirmed that they had not seen "team" speed like UF all year. OSU was beaten badly at the both sides of the line (where it all begins)...

Casey, perhaps we should discuss reef related subjects and close the book on this thread.

Really, here is a quote from a defensive back on OSU...

"It's all about execution," said OSU senior safety Brandon Mitchell.
"I think we matched up with them pretty well, but we just didn't execute and they did tonight.
"I think we matched up athletically and they didn't do anything we weren't expecting. Their speed, they had good speed, but it was what I expected and it wasn't anything that was off the charts. Like I said, we didn't execute," said Mitchell.


Here is a quote from an offensive lineman...

"We matched up with them athletically across the board. I think it was more just the scheme their coaches put into place that kind of tricked us a little bit, some reads that we thought we were going to have on them, we didn't. In the end it caught up to us and was a big reason we lost the game," said Downing.

That florida speed stuff is bullcrap or SEC speed. Whatever you want to call it. You don't think the players on the teams are from all over the country? Wynn is from Ohio btw and hes on the gators team. What happened when OSU beat Miami in 2002? Miami was supposed to be so much faster but it sure didn't look like they were.
