Do you QT / treat your SPS before adding to the tank? I set up a much smaller frag tank a while back and just got a 20gal QT online to treat new frags with interceptor for a while. Don't have anything in QT atm.

I'm working on setting up a QT using a drilled 15 gal tank that I have with another 15 for the sump. So far I have been lucky but I have reached the point now where I really have to do something about qt before I get burned.

My plan is to use the 15gal with a 150w HQI over it. I want to be able to keep corals for a few weeks in the QT so the lighting has to be good enough to keep them alive. I don't plan on pre-treating with any medicines and will only treat for whatever problems arise. I don't care for the color loss and potential damage that some treatments can cause. I would also like to keep any acro crabs that happen to show up alive if possible. Might not be the best way to do it but it certainly beats what I'm doing now.

And thank you everyone for the nice compliments. I was afraid the pic quality was the greatest since I had to shoot from the top with all the pumps off. I don't scrape the coralline and the tank is pretty scratched up so shooting from the sides isn't possible. As soon as I can get a photo box made, I'm going to try for some nice macro shots.

Thank you for the offer but I'm not much of an anemone fan.

Made a small photo box and tried some shots. Unfortunately, my point n shoot digital doesn't have a macro setting. The camera is set on auto settings and the pics are taken under a 10k reeflux bulb with no supplemental lighting. Any suggestions for getting better pics with limited camera settings?

Almost all of my frags have come from Rob's fragzilla tank. There are a few from the reef club meetings and a couple from the other LFS's in town. I buy small pieces that are sometimes pretty drab looking but after a few months in the right light and water they really seem to color up.

I have a single 250w Reeflux 10k bulb in a lumenarc reflector. The tank is roughly 4ft x 4ft.
