Question

Do you have a used 400watt ReefLux 10K or 12K SE bulb???

Right now I am running XM 10Ks SE and am trying to decide between the ReefLux 10K and 12K.

I figured if anyone has old ReefLux bulbs perhaps I could borrow them to see how the colors look on my tank. This will help me to quit stalling and pull the trigger on which color temp to get. .... anyone???

I checked out the tanks with 10k and 12k at BioReef, but am still undecided. Plus the 10K tank has supplemental T5 lighting.

BTW: I have a standard PFO dual ballast, if anyone has comments running these bulbs on this ballast.

Thanks!

You may want to check with teach and Dacro they may have some 20ks XMs that are used and they dont look as blue as you would think in the 400wt bulbs that is but you may like them. IMO they look like a 14k.

Duud - Your post just reminded me of a few years ago when I went through the same situation... trying to decide which bulbs to switch to before I got my XMs. You and John loaned me a 20K (can't recall the brand) that I put on my tank for a few mins to see how it looked. Waaay too blue for my taste. I forgot all about this until now. lol ... History repeats!
