Covering the background of your tank?

I have the Standard 55 gallon rectangle tank. I'm interested in covering the background in order to hide the overflow box and protein skimmer etc. I like how most people paint the background blue, but I'm not trying to get into all that lol. Is there an easier alternative? I know you can by cut and tape backgrounds at pet stores, but do they work? Salt Creep? Is there a stick on one? Well you guys get the point haha Also i'm never going to add enough rocks to completely cover the background
Thanks
Matthew

there is a stick on one. It works like the vinyl sticker that go on car windows.

I stole my idea from (Chris) crvs...I bought black coroplast from a local sign shop and cut it to fit the back of the tank. Then I bought some heavy duty velcro from Lowes and stuck it to the back of the tank behind my overflows, but you could put the velcro on the rim of the tank -top and bottom (works great and I can take it off anytime to clean or whatever...I highly recommend).

I like the background black personally...I just used some black foam board (it's about 1/4" thick) from Wally...Works pretty well...I like it cuz it's rigid unlike the LFS variety...makes it easier to work with.

Oh and it comes in different colors...If you want more color choices you can go to a hobby/craft store.

just paint... its easy. Krylon Fusion is what you want if you do decide to go that route.

You can normally find vinyl at any decal stores.
How much do you need?
