clown fish

I have sigle false clown fish in my 90 about the only time he swims around is when he thinks there is food. Do you think he would like to be in a smaller tank if he got a partner to go in with him are stay were he is at.

Clownfish tend to stay in one area of the tank. I think you definitely need a pair.

I have two false percs in my 90g. They stay together all the time. But they tend to stay in one corner of the tank. Most of the time. I think yours just needs a friend.

Ditto, my clowns stay in one corner of my 180.. also wait for the food to come to them. They rarely roam out of their corner area.

mine too and I tried adding a much smaller clown in with her and I floated her first in a seperate container and my original one freaked out. I floated the newbie for 24 hrs or so and if he came within 2 feet of her anemone she attacked the container. So I have a loner

I think a small home with a nice couple might be the answer.

Just curious, is this just Perc behavior or clowns in general?
I have a mating pair of tomato clowns and they (usually the female) are out swimming around most of the time.

Well I see she has picked up a second location to call home. And now for some reason is chasing my small fish when they get close. Now it would be nice if he would swim right in front of my net like the rest of the fish do.

Well it only took 5 hrs to catch her. Not sure if she likes her new home to much but thats what she gets for being a bully.
