Arrow Crabs?

So I was reading about arrow crabs... it says they eat bristleworms. It also said they like meaty food.... so I was wondering if they can be kept with shrimp...or if they would kill them?

Anyone have them in their reef tank?

They will kill ornamental shrimp if they catch them......we had a couple in the store and somehow they got mixed in with the peppermints and before we knew it they killed most of them....

Ok... that is what I was afraid of

Is there anything that will eat BIG bristleworms that won't kill ornamental shrimp?

They sure do love bristleworms. I had mine in with 2 peppermints for 6 months and they did fine; however, he had hundreds of bristleworms at his disposal for wrangling each day, until a few months later when I noticed my bristleworm population was diminished to next to nothing. When I would feed or at night when the bristleworms came out he would just wait and start picking them off. I guess that was an easier meal than chasing the peppermints.

Yeah I bought a few peppermint shrimp..but they were so little that I think my valentini puffer ate them....haven't seen them since. I have one large peppermint shrimp..but he has no interest in bristle worms.

I have a christmas tree rock...will the Melanurus wrasse eat those too?
