Aquarium Safe Silicone?
I've been using AGA silicone but also looking for larger quantities of silicone.
Can anyone recommend an aquarium safe silicone or epoxy that I would be able to use for baffles and building sumps/tanks etc etc...?
The brand name and where to locate it at would be best and also what to look out for when I'm searching for silicone.
Any info would be great.
Chris

Buy the DAP 100% Silicone Sealant from your favorite home improvement store.
Looks like this ===> http://www.dap.com/product_details.aspx?product_id=25

Forgot to mention GE type I silicone for windows/doors. Make sure it's NOT the kitchen/bath because that contains mildew inhibitors.

I am partial to this but just because of brand and noteriety on RC. I have had nothing but good experiences with it. It says on the label "NOT FOR AQUARIUMS" but I think thats just because they don't want the liability of a potential issue. If it was bad for or didn't do the job correctly, I am sure people would be complaining all day long on RC about it, instead it comes highly recommended by most RC inhabitants.

Bio-Reef has the AGA in Caulking gun size tubes for 12.95.

I do believe that the AGA silicone is specially formulated for use on Aquariums. So without any doubt, I know it's safe for aquariums.

how can there be any doubt with the GE stuff when there is literally 1000's of people using it?
At home depot/ACE/Lowes, there is also a silicon that says for Aquariums. http://www.acehardware.com/product/i...entPage=family
You can also buy this for less than half the price of that AGA stuff,

those perfecto silicone tubes look like full size cault tubes to me. Are you sure they are only 2oz? I know the DAP ones are 2.8oz...
I just looked them up, those perfecto tubes are 10.3 Fl. Oz. for $5.99.

I picked up a tube of GE Silicone 1 for 5$ at Ace Hardware and a gun to apply it with, these last 2 baffles went on so easily with the gun.
