if CA reactors didn't cost a fortune I would probably use one but dosing 2 part is so easy and hardly costs anything, I can't really see switching from it.

True, a CR does cost a lot up front but very little after that.

DIY! Cheap and easy. If I had a larger tank, I would probably look into getting a reactor.

qc... we tried and liked the Red Sea Pro, but didn't wanna pay $60+ for it locally. We bought the Reef Crystals thru a special online promo for like $30 and are using it in the 90 and prop tanks.
Both tanks maintain Ca = 420-450 and ALK = 10

Yep I use the same media and I have no problems with Calc.,Alk or PH but I guess I'm just Lucky, and Mike is right it takes a while to get them dialed in but when you do hit that sweet spot its all good. And my calc. runs 400-420, and my alk runs 10.4-10.6, PH never drops below 8.1 in the morning and runs 8.3-8.4 in the evening so I cant complain. And I also use one of the cheapest reactors there is an Octopus !

Question for the people that use Oceans blend, why don't you use DIY 2 part instead?

The other option is they didn't know about it.

I don't really consider myself lazy. I definitely don't consider myself rich. I have looked into various recipes. I bought the large 10 gallon Ocean's Blend set at Bio-Reef awhile back. I didn't get 12 gallons for $39.00, but they always treat me very well. I will look into different options when I've used what I have.

I use oceans blend also and I dont have much money. I see now there is a cheaper way, so when I run out I might switch. I must say tho I do so many things myself that sometimes I just get tired of it and Iam will to pay a little more for something that is already done.
