breeders

I saw a few people on other forums speaking about breeding blennies, like algae, and red/orange spot, and a couple of more too. Apparently you can sex these by eye, and if you get lucky with a pair...who knows. I cannot confirm this, it is just what I read.

I had a friend a long time ago that was breeding sexy shrimp, but this is even before I got into SW tanks. I wish I could get in touch with him now, I have quite a few questions for him. He was also able to breed a few other fish species, but I cannot remember which breeds now!

I do know that you can breed some cuttlefish, and some people have had success with a few species of Octopus as well.

I would personally be very interested in learning more about breeding blennies.

FYI: guppies also can be acclimated (slowly) to salt water.

I've had the "Skunk" cleaner shrimp breed in my tank but I never tried to raise the fry.

No. They don't need an anemone.

Just to add... A lfs in my hometown had/has a mated pair of crosshatch triggers.

They had been trying to raise the fry. They had not yet been able to raise any to maturity but I know the fry had been lasting longer with each batch.

Anyways I haven't been to that store in about a year so I don't know if they ever succeeded.

It would be impressive though. Trigger fry are tiny when first hatched... getting them to eat was the problem

contrary to what many may believe mollies are a brackish water fish that tolerate fresh water but to put mollies in a salt water tank just throw them in and they will be fine I have had mollies breeding in my tank for over a year and never acclimated one

125g tank 30g sump 30g reef and a bunch of other stuff

I have a mated pair of dragon gobies. They were the first fish I added to my tank. (got them from another reef owner) and they apparently already had eggs when I got them and put them in my tank. (had fry swimming around a couple of weeks later)

They appear to be building another nest (cave) now (about 3-4 weeks later).

The fry were apparenly eaten. I am not sure how to care for them anyway, but it is still kind of interesting.

I have 14 baby banggai cardinalfish right now. They were "spit" by daddy two days ago. So far they are eating well on freshly hatched brine. I moved them to a separate tank and am enjoying the process!
