Tomato clowns getting ready to spawn?

Hi, I have a pair of tomato clowns that may be getting ready to spawn.Thare's a lot of shaking and cleaning of a certain area in the tank.Does any one have a link to where I can acqiure live rotifers or even frozen,if they will take them?I hate to wait till the last minute and then try to find them, since the babies will starve .If anyone knows where to get them and how to keep them alive till I need them, let me know. Thanks Gail

I hope you are ready for a ride. you will need to do a combo of rotifers and greenwater depending on the size of the kids.

here is a place to get frozen ones.

here is rotifer culture info

and finally... here is a place to get all the stuff you need to culture your own rotifers and green water.

has the female extended her tube yet?

It really isn't that hard, it just takes time to start and get the culture going and then careful attention to keep the culture going. It just takes more time and study

Hey everyone, Thanks for all the info! I'll order the frozen for now,and look into actually raising rotifers if they actually do the deed.I know it's not easy, rearing freshwater fry is easy, they'll eat anything! If they do spawn,I'd have to try .If I'm unsuccessful,I might try mouthbrooders, the fry are a little larger.I already have 2 cardinals and 1 jawfish. Thanks Gail
