selling freshly bred critters

Besides going to a LFS or several to sell the newly bred fish, snails, etc. has anyone found a good way to move large quantities of product? I just saw that one reefer here had 300 oscellaris babies. I could see myself unloading 20 fish/LFS with 4 locally, but it would take 1-2 months before I could sell each a second batch. Are there any online retailers that are willing to help?

You can try to contact some wholesalers. They are the ones who supply the lfs's all over the country. Unfortunately, they may not be willing to deal with part timers. They want consistent quality shipments on a regular schedule. When it comes to clownfish, there are already quite a few large scale operations (ORA, etc) that can provide large batches (hundreds or thousands of fish) on a routine basis for a relatively low cost. Most hobby breeders can't compete with their price or volume.

The best bet is to specialize and raise an uncommon or rare fish. Shoot for quality and not quantity and then sell to other hobbyists via the interent along with your local stores.
