Hi, I can't help you here with your question BUT maybe you could help me ... can you tell me where you were able to purchase rottifers? I was needing them, as my clowns were laying eggs like crazy and I looked everywhere with no luck in finding these rottirers.

and for your how much question i would just run a test and feed until they stop and i am not sure about coffee filters but it seems like that would help remove them from dirty water.

how much to add will depend on how many babies you have, also on how dense your rot culture is. I get my rot starter cultures from Florida Aqua farms or Reed Mariculture. get a 53 micron screen and get the rots out of their tank water before feeding to the larval fish. I grow rots in 5 gallon tanks with rigid airline tubing. no heaters just room temp. I feed the nanno from Reed.

Rotifers can be bought from reeds http://www.reed-store.com/
also you can buy food for rotifers there...

You would need a seive from florida aqua farms to harvest the rotifers... You can also buy rotifer cyst from them if you want to raise the rotifers that way... https://3kserver7.com/~frank/secure/agora.cgi
