2nd batch of clownfish eggs, help!
my clown fish have a second batch of eggs, around 20. they are inside of a big snail shell. I've been thinking of putting the shell, eggs and all into a net cage that hangs off the side of the tank. I'm unable to have a second smaller tank for raising the fry... the clowns are two different species. one looks like Nemo and the other is a little darker. what will the fry eat and will they be able to live in this net. it's about (this is just a guess) 10 inches long and 5 or 6 tall and wide... any info would be great...

The only one I know of who has successfully raised clownfish fry is philguy. I would ask him.

You really need to get them , the eggs out of the main tank and into a nusery tank, One where you can control everything, You also need to lave the foods ready for them, Live rots, Grn water and so on and Read here on this forum and the seahorse forum on the food and tanks .

thanks a bunch! woke up this morning and the eggs were gone... i've read that if you pay attention to their eyes changing color you can be aproximate on how long until they hatch. i'll keep reading up on this.

Thats true, The fish lay about every 13 days and the fry hatch for us on the 8th day, You can see the eyes turn silver . We place a piece of slate in the tank, they lay on it and on the day they hatch we pull it place it into a 10 gallon, about 2 or so hour after lights go out they hatch.
