Seahorse stopped eating
I have a mated pair that were housed in a 65 gallon hexagon tank. They were doing very well, eating and swimming from place to place. I made the mistake of purchasing a Sweetlips which I found out was a grouper? I was told that it would be a wonderful addition to the tank. I noted that the Sweetlips was busy eating and the seahorses just sat in place. The only other inhabitants of this 65 gallon are 1 jawfish and a goby and a few snails.
As it was difficult to snare the Sweetlips I set up another tank, 29 gallons, and after the proper period of time and testing, removed the two seahorses to the 29 gallon. Since that time they just sit on the intake part of the Marineland canister filter or at times a gargonian. I note now that for 3 days the frozen Mysis shrimp which is the only thing I have ever fed them just floats around the tank and eventually sinks to the bottom. The male's stomach seems a little pinched but not the femails.
What do you think?
