Do I need to worry about using a HOB skimmer for my seahorses? I have been told that using a HOB skimmer increasing the likelyhood that microbubbles might get in the tank. The seahorses may eat the bubbles and end up with gasbubble disease?

like any disease gas bubble is from a bacteria... but the bubbles will stress your fish out. if you keep the water level up to the bottom of the water chute then you should have minimal bubbles. micro bubbles are the big problem and you usually need a skimmer or powerhead putting air in the tank.
