thick glass is to cut down on the sweating that will happen if the tank has to be kept cooler than the temp of the room it is housed in... (my guess)


as far as bootleg site, was the "adopt" for $40 more a sponsorship thing or was it just a shady site? it sounded to me like it was like the "adopt a highway" type thing... nobody really gets to buy their own part of the highway...lol
