They are nice to keep. You need to buy the saddles and little men now to ride then, LOL

Did 1st WC lastnight.... about 1g and added a air stone in the corrner. I was getting scum at the surface.

these little guys have quite the personality. even thou all three look about the same you can really tell them apart.

I never knew they would be so agile and such strong swimmer. They are really fast and precise while gonig after food.

They are sooo fun to just sit and watch... Two of the three like to swim up behind the HOB filter and them swim into the current and they just tumble end over end till they get out of the current or find somthing to hitch onto. They must enjoy it because they do it over and over....

Maybe I'll try and get some video of them to share....

The small of the three is getting a lil darker and the other two seem to be getting lighter...(maybe it's a male?????)

I added 2 20w PC 50/50 "screw in" bulbs and they look much better and so does the macro and shrooms in the QT

Saddly they are all gone all but one of the pipe fish.....
I have no idea why...... They all looked great were eating well and one day after about 3weeks in QT they just stopped eating and were dead the next day I will NEVER try ponies again.... The one pipe fish is doing GREAT hes in the tank now and loving it growing like a weed and has a FAT belly.....

I think that one of the pipefish died and even though the params were fine did something to the water and in a 10g bad things can happen fast!

I think I'll stick with the fuzzy sticks, I have not had any of those die on me (knock on wood)

oh Chris I am so sorry.

I know how hard it can be.
I've killed both fuzzy sticks and seahorses, but I am still at it.

This is a hobby with a huge learning curve that hurts, but it is worth it in the long run.

Don't you think.

Jen, if I may suggest letting that tank cycle for 6 months or so and then getting ponies. Do you research, read read read read read and read more. They are possible to keep, but it's different than a regular reef.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your seahorses and the one pipefish. Hopefully the other one will hang in there for you.

I know exactly how frustrating it can be and remember the guy on here earlier in the year that had what seemed to be a really good setup for dwarf seahorses. They were having babies and everything and then all of a sudden they all started dying. We are talking over 40 seahorses he lost in that incident. Of course the dwarfs were wild caught.

Forunately for us the 3 new babies are doing great in the tank, despite one of them being stuck against the overflow for a while. She healed up nicely without any problems and the large female seems to like the additional horse company.

Best of luck with your fuzzy sticks.
